Know God & Make Him Known
The heartbeat of Community is to reach the families all around us with the unchanging love of Christ, to strengthen and build the marriages of our city, and to inspire the youth of our town to seek after Christ for their future and ours.
Life is a journey and, like every journey, it has a hoped for destination. Some seek wealth, others pursue pleasure, and still others value their friends and family. Where is your journey taking you?
At Community we invite you to “join in the journey” as we seek to live the life God has for us. We are here to encourage you, support you, and teach you the directions given in God’s Word, the Bible. We look forward to seeing you soon!

In a society where God is little more than an after thought, the church family of Community strives to make Him preeminent in their lives. Through vibrant worship, fellowship, giving, and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, hearts are developed and changed to have a close relationship with God. “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Matthew 22:37
The Bible speaks often about the benefits of being a part of a church. With friendships, encouragement, accountability, and so much more, growing together makes the Christian life a joy! What you will find at Community is a group of people making it their goal to grow together in their relationships with each other as they grow in their relationship with Christ. “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” Hebrews 10:24
There are so many ways that the members of Community strive to serve others. Volunteering in the nursery, children’s ministry, cleaning team, or by being a blessing to our community are just some of the ways our members attempt to follow Christ’s example of service to others. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” Matthew 28:19
Strategy (process) our goal is to
Gather – connected people are caring people so we
Grow – growing people change so they will
Go – saved people Help people
Worship – Hebrews 10:22-25
We believe we are a group of believers who are called to worship and lift up God and His Son Jesus Christ. We come together each Sunday morning to preach and proclaim God’s Word in preaching and we sing and lift up God’s glory in worship and song. We seek and invite the presence of God into our services as we corporately meet because we believe that when we encounter God, things change. When God shows up people change and are transformed by His presence and glory.
Community – Hebrews 10:24
We believe For life change to truly occur we must be active in community and with one another while seeking to be obedient to God’s Word.
Generosity – 2 Chronicles 8:1-15
We believe that mature disciples of Jesus Christ who have been impacted by the gospel will live with their hands open and not closed. They will lay down their lives and resources to see the kingdom of God expanded. People changed by the gospel will do all they can with all they have to see others come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. They will invest and leverage their lives for the sake of the gospel.
Boldness – Acts 4:31
We believe that a disciple of Jesus Christ who has been changed by the gospel will want to share the good news of redemption with others. It takes faith to share the gospel with someone else. We must spend our energy making the name of Jesus known to our surrounding communities.
Serving – Ephesians 4:11-12
We believe that all of the people of God are called to do the work of the ministry. Many churches make the mistake of thinking that the staff is supposed to do everything as if they are the paid professionals. A pastor’s biblical responsibility is to teach, train, and equip church members to do the work of the ministry. It is God’s calling on our lives to live on mission with the gifts, skills, and resources that God has given to us as disciples and as members of this church.
“We invite you to join in the ‘journey’ with us as we seek to serve God and one another. Our mission is to guide people of all backgrounds into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”
What We Believe
The Bible is The Word of God
God is a Person, eternally existing, as a Trinity in unity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – three Persons and yet one God.
Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 26:19, I Corinthians 8
Sacrifice of Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as a substitutionary payment for the sins of the whole world. He physically arose from the dead and then ascended into Heaven. Simple faith in this sacrifice is the only way of salvation for mankind.
Luke 24, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 5:8-10, I Peter 3:18
Jesus Christ Himself will soon come again in the air to catch up His Church to reward their service. The unbelievers left behind will go through a period called the Tribulation, after which Christ will return to the Earth to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. After this, the unbelievers of all ages will stand at the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while the believers spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord.
Matthew 24:29-42, I Thessalonians 4:16-18
Jesus is the Son
Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God, who became a sinless man to redeem us. He was born of a virgin and is true God and true man. Luke 1:30-55, John 1:1-15, Philippians 2:5-8
Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing not only physical death, but also spiritual death or eternal separation from God. Now all of mankind exists as a fallen race with an inherited sinful nature.
Genesis 2:16, Genesis 3:16-19, Romans 3:10-23, Romans 6:23
The local church is a group of believers baptized by water, banded together for edification, exhortation, and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission; preaching the Gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15, I Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 1:22-23
